Hi everyone,
my husband and I are contemplating buying a house close to L'Amettla. It is supposed to be a winter home, while we would rent it out in the summer.
However, we are a little concerned about lack of options for going out and dining, etc in winter. What would you consider the nearest town with decent options? Is there a nice little village with a historic centre where locals go for tapas in winter? Also, where could we find supermarkets that cater also to vegans and vegetarians?
Thanks for your help

Does anyone know where one can buy knitting materials near L'Amettla?
We will be driving back and forth to the uk and were thinking about purchasing a telepeage. Does anyone use one? Are they a good idea if you aren't using them on a daily basis? Thank you
Hi, want advice on the local train travel...staying in ametlla with two kids. Won't be renting a car. Plan to go by train to mora de nova, for a kayak trip through to miravet? Any recommendations places to visit? Waterparks are obviously on the kids agendas 😉 any advice welcome...local fiestas? Dates 20 -27.
I have just moved back to Spain and have a Green NIE Card which I would like to transfer to a TIE. However, I am advised that I need to also update my padrón with my new address. I have a rental contract but want to know how I get at appointment with the Ayuntamiento to get on the padrón. Can anyone help please?
Hi,
I've been looking on this forum for a couple of months now, out of curiosity, as we are seriously considering relocating to L' Ametlla de Mar region.
Can anyone tell me if there are many non-Spanish people in the area? Is there a British community? Or a French community? We were there earlier this year and, although we met a few Spaniards who spoke French, non-Spaniards were almost non-existent. Which is a good thing, we aren't looking for British or German owned bars and cafes serving all-day fried breakfasts and bratwurst, but I was just wondering.
Also, just how busy does it get during the summer months? We were there over Easter and were surprised that there were often less than half a dozen people on some of the small beaches, which was a very pleasant surprise.
