Winter in L'Ametlla de Mar

Hi everyone,

my husband and I are contemplating buying a house close to L'Amettla. It is supposed to be a winter home, while we would rent it out in the summer.

However, we are a little concerned about lack of options for going out and dining, etc in winter. What would you consider the nearest town with decent options? Is there a nice little village with a historic centre where locals go for tapas in winter? Also, where could we find supermarkets that cater also to vegans and vegetarians?

Hi,

We have one that we use for long weekends throughout the year with a plan to retire at some point. We find that, in our long weekend experience, you can normally find some pretty nice places for food and the local supermarkets, Spars etc cater for all tastes.

The great thing is you can jump on a train and go to Tarragona for a day or go the opposite way to Tortosa. My daughter recently spent a few days in Valencia- about 2:30 on the direct train
