Hello.

We are looking to buy a house on the Costa Dorada and just wanted to ask if all areas are good for expats with good bars and restaurants. We like the idea of buying fresh local produce too so would like to be nearish a food market. We will be driving down after Easter to start looking. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

What kind of property will you be looking for?

We're looking to sell our 2 bed, 2 bath holiday home which is a 15min walk to L'Ametlla de Mar along the coastal footpath which is very pretty. The house is set amongst its own olive trees and is quite secluded and only a 30 second walk to the coastal footpath. Sea views from the roof terrace. We'll be advertising it around EU170,000.

Private msg me if you're interested.

L'Ametlla de Mar has lots of good bakeries and a few supermarkets in the village centre and a big supermarket just outside with plenty of parking. We were there for all of November and some of the bars, restaurants & cafes are open all year. The Xmas market was just being setup when we left.

What time of the year will you staying there or will you be living there permanently?

Regards

Hi

Thanks for answering 🙂 We are looking for a 3+ bedroom (loads of grandchildren!) but your villa sounds lovely - good luck with your sale.

This area sounds perfect. We are in ibiza at the moment so are used to tye weather and closures over winter. We are retired and go back and forth to the uk quite regularly. Have you ever used the trains?

Many thanks

Many years ago we used the trains from Barcelona & Valencia. Both good connection services. There are fast and very slow (all stops) trains. Just be mindful of the hours of service as once I flew into Barcelona on a Sunday and the train service to L'Ametlla stopped very early, something like 5pm so I was stranded in Barcelona for the night, such a tough life ;)
