Hi,

I've been looking on this forum for a couple of months now, out of curiosity, as we are seriously considering relocating to L' Ametlla de Mar region.

Can anyone tell me if there are many non-Spanish people in the area?   Is there a British community?   Or a French community?    We were there earlier this year and, although we met a few Spaniards who spoke French, non-Spaniards were almost non-existent.    Which is a good thing, we aren't looking for British or German owned bars and cafes serving all-day fried breakfasts and bratwurst, but I was just wondering.

Also, just how busy does it get during the summer months?   We were there over Easter and were surprised that there were often less than half a dozen people on some of the small beaches, which was a very pleasant surprise.

Hi Wendy.

We are pretty progressed in purchasing a home in L' Ametlla de mar, las tres calas.

We are Dutch and will be using the house as a holiday home. Hopefully, we will purchase the house soon.

As you say,  it is a nice area. No mass tourism but just a nice village.

Good luckšŸ‘

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your reply.

It seems that most of the houses in Les Tres Cales development are either second homes or bought to rent out for tourists.    We need to do more research!

I hope that your purchase goes well.
