Property wanted to rent: 3 bed, 2 bath, pool - 0 replies

loz20 Posted by loz20 in Property wanted to rent or buy requests in Salou on Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:38pm

Hi, I am planning to relocate to spain with my three children aged 14, 5 and 2.

We have looked at houses in Almarie i believe the south side but have friends in Salou, the main objective is to find a good school with a balance of both English and Spanish but not private as i know they are expensive.

A home to rent between 500 -750 euro. 3 bed detached or semi detached house or villa. 2 bath including en-suite, pool, close amenities wouldn't mind a 20 minute drive to the town to shop if needed, drive way, new fitted bath and kitchen, spacious kitchen, partly furnished or furnished if not unfurnished is still ok as we have some furniture to bring and wifi access.

I will also be setting up my business that was currently effected by the pandemic however, now ready to relaunch I am aiming to do so in Spain.

Would love any suggestion and best place to raise my children as expats.

Paul Posted by Paul in Coronavirus discussion in Salou: Covid-19 news and updates on Mon Oct 5, 2020 12:04pm

Hi to all

Myself and a colleague will be travelling to Salou in November and we just wondered what the current situation is in Salou itself with relation to Covid restrictions. We will be coming for a week so would be in a hotel. Is the towns restaurants and bars still open or are they closed for winter/Covid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

               Best Regards Paul

Hi there,

Hope All of you are keeping well.

I am from a part of Spain that is called "El Bierzo".

I was born in Switzerland, but my parents moved back to Spain when I was 3 years old.

I get to used to move to live in different parts of Spain, so when I was on my 35th I move to England to learn some English.

Then I moved to Scotland and even I lived in Belfast around 3 years.

I have been visiting different parts of the UK and even the Republic of Ireland.

I have been working in different kind of jobs. I started as Housekeeping, move to a Hostel where I used to work as a supervisor during the breakfast, then I started in Caffe shops at the airports and, my last job was in Exchange currency at Gatwick Airport.

Unfortunately, this job is no longer available and because my family has a house closed to Montblanc (Tarragona), I am thinking about to go to live there.

I lived for a while in Andorra, where I learn to speak Catalan, so I know Catalan, English and I am a native Spanish speaker.

I have knowledge of Sage and Administration, but my experience is based on Customer Services. I love a challenge and I will be very grateful if someone can suggest places where I can apply for a job.

I have been looking already by myself, but I feel that there are maybe hidden opportunities that I could consider it and I will be very grateful if someone can give any advice.

( I am still in England, but ready to move back when I will get the change)

Many Thanks and please, do not hesitate if you have an offer and you would like to know more about me

Moving from Ireland - 0 replies

liz1976 Posted by liz1976 in General Calafell discussion on Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:47am

Hi, when the world settles down, my family are moving to this area from Ireland. Can any tell me what it’s like to live in calafell with children? They will be 9, 12, 14 (ish). What’s employment like? Are there any local Spanish lessons? Any advice on the public schools?

Sorry for the long post, thanks for reading! 😊
